Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Selfika handles when you use the character studio, generation tools, website, and support channels.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Scope and controller
This policy applies to information processed through Selfika, including its website, studio, account flows, generation tools, support forms, and API surfaces. It does not govern websites or services that link to a different privacy notice.
The operator of the service acts as the controller of personal information described here where applicable privacy law uses that term. For questions, requests, or concerns, use the support channel in your account and identify the email associated with your request.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information created when you use the service, and limited information from providers that help us operate it.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account | Name, email address, account identifiers, preferences, and sign-in or support history. |
| Creative inputs | Reference photos, prompts, videos, audio, settings, and files you choose to submit. |
| Outputs and activity | Generated media, tool selections, credit usage, generation status, and history metadata. |
| Technical data | Device and browser details, approximate region, logs, error data, and security events. |
| Payments | Purchase status, pack, amount, currency, and payment provider identifiers. We do not need your full card number to provide the service. |
3. Demo browser storage
Some demo flows store account details, character preferences, onboarding photos, API keys, or other settings in your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage. This is a client-side convenience, not a secure account database. Anyone with access to the browser profile may be able to read that information.
Clearing site data, changing browsers, using private browsing, or resetting the device can remove demo information. Do not place passwords, payment details, identity documents, or sensitive personal information in demo fields. A production account or connected provider may process information under additional notices shown at the time of use.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide requested generations, maintain character and project context, process purchases, show credit balances, authenticate accounts, respond to support requests, protect the service, measure reliability, and communicate service updates. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand feature performance and improve the product.
Depending on your location, our legal bases may include performing a contract with you, taking steps at your request before a contract, pursuing legitimate interests such as security and product operations, complying with legal obligations, and obtaining consent where consent is required. You can withdraw consent for a consent-based activity without affecting earlier processing.
6. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements. Retention varies by category. Generated media and reference files may be removed according to product settings, account actions, provider schedules, or operational limits.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and the risk. No online service, browser storage, or transmission method is completely secure. Keep copies of important creative work and notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to local law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information must be retained for legal or security reasons.
You can update account details through available studio settings, delete browser-stored demo data through your browser controls, and stop optional marketing messages using the unsubscribe control in the message. Deleting an account or browser data may not remove information held by an independent payment or AI provider.
Send a request through support. Include the email associated with your account, the nature of the request, and your applicable region.
8. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries outside your home country. Where required, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism and contractual or organizational safeguards for cross-border transfers. Local privacy rights may give you additional protections.
9. Children
The service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the service. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, service, or legal obligations change. We will post the new version and revise the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible. Your continued use after the effective date means the updated policy applies to future processing.
11. Contact
Privacy questions, rights requests, and concerns about a reference image or generated likeness can be submitted through the support channel. Please do not include more personal information than we need to locate your account and understand your request.
